TEMPORARY traffic lights are in place on the A66 this morning to enable the recovery of a lorry that caught alight yesterday (January 7).
Firefighters were called at 7.15pm to the vehicle, which was near the Center Parcs turn off.
The road was closed in both directions while Appleby and Penrith firefighters dealt with the blaze.
Traffic signals are now in place between the A6 Penrith and A685 Brough. The vehicle has been recovered and the clean-up is ongoing ahead of emergency road repairs.
