A RECORD number of 179 people turned up for the annual fundraising Farm Walk and Barbecue at Bleak Bank above Clapham.
They enjoyed handmade sausages and burgers made by retired butcher Brian Reville, while farmer John Dawson and his son William, who recently featured in the TV documentary 'The Yorkshire Dales and The Lakes', led the walk.
William also made a chocolate fountain for the event, which proved extremely popular.
Others at the barbecue brought along a favourite pudding to share with fellow revellers, while they also enjoyed a sheep-judging competition.
A total of £881 was raised for Newby Chapel.
