PLANS to build 16 new homes on a cleared site in Low Bentham Road, High Bentham, are being recommended for approval.
The site was previously occupied by a large, detached house and commercial building, used by E and SJ Pearson trailer makers since around 1979.
Planned by Carr and Stocks Development Ltd is 16 new homes, including four two bedroom; four three bedroom, and eight four bedroom. It is proposed 40 per cent will be affordable, to provide 50 parking spaces, and access off Low Bentham Road.
The scheme has received the support of Bentham Town Council and no objections from North Yorkshire highways authority.
The application is recommended for approval on Tuesday (August 8) at Craven District Council's planning committee meeting.
