People aged 16 and 17 were allowed to vote in the Scottish independence referendum.
But in the United Kingdom you have to be aged 18 to vote in the General Election.
Sixteen and 17-year-olds in the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Brazil and Austria already have the vote. They can also vote in some elections in Germany, Malta and Norway.
It’s too late for anyone to make changes to the electoral system for the General Election coming up next week on June 8.
But, looking ahead, do you think 16 and 17-year-olds should be given the vote and the opportunity to help elect the MP of their choice?
Have your vote above.
