A series of film shows about the Settle-Carlisle Railway are being screened in March.
With the re-opening of the full length of the railway to Carlisle in late March, two film shows by Roger Hardingham will be shown in Settle and Skipton on Saturday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 21 respectively.
Archive film from the railway in the 1960s and subsequent years will show the history of the line from Settle to Carlisle and will include the recent Northern Rail steam-hauled trains from Skipton to Appleby.
Footage of the landslip near Armathwaite is included, as is the works to rebuild the track following severe flooding.
Tickets are £5 per adult and £2 for under 16s and they are available from website www.railwayvideo.com.
