MORECAMBE and Lunesdale MP David Morris has been appointed Private Parliamentary Secretary to the Secretary of State for Scotland David Mundell MP following the election of Theresa May as the new Prime Minister.
Following the announcement, Mr Morris said: "I am sad to be leaving the brilliant Wales office Team of Alun Cairns MP and Guto Bebb MP, but being in that department since 2014 I am ready for a new challenge.
"As many of you will know I take a keen interest in constitutional issues and following the Brexit vote Scotland will be one of the key stakeholders when triggering article 50.
"I am delighted to be part of the Scotland Office at such a crucial time in the history of the UK and I'm looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into the challenging times ahead."
