THE Rev Nancy Goodrich, vicar of the Benefice of Bolton-le-Sands, has been appointed Area Dean for the Tunstall Deanery by Lancashire’s Bishop, the Rt Rev Julian Henderson.
She will fulfil the role previously held by the Rev Damian Porter, vicar of Warton St Oswald with Yealand Conyers St John, after she was licensed by Bishop Julian at Bolton-le-Sands Holy Trinity.
Her role will be to help the Bishop in his care of the Deanery; provide a supportive and collaborative leadership for mission and ministry; convening the Deanery Chapter (the regular gathering of local clergy) and co-chairing the Deanery Synod meetings and the work of Deanery Synod.
Mrs Goodrich is married to Nigel, a Lancaster City Councillor, and they have two girls. She was ordained in 2009 and prior to that was a chartered accountant and plant controller in the automotive industry.
