BOOKWORMS can enjoy a day mingling among some of the finest booksellers from across Cumbria and the rest of England by entering this week's Prizetime.
The Provincial Booksellers' Fairs Association is holding its annual bookfair in Kendal this month and we are offering readers the chance to win one of ten pairs of tickets or a £25 book voucher that can be spent at any of the bookstalls.
The PBFA is the largest trade association for second hand booksellers and the guarantee of a good bookfair.
There will be 30 stalls from all over the north of England and beyond. A big selection of local interest second hand and antiquarian books and ephemera will be on display with prices ranging from a couple of pounds to a couple of hundred pounds for the older rarer books.
Everyone is welcome, even if you just want to browse and refreshments will be available.
Entrance to the bookfair, held at the Brewery Arts Centre on Friday, June 22 (noon-6pm) and Saturday, June 23 (10am-4.30pm), is just £1.
You can find more information on the PBFA and the names of the stallholders attending the fair by visiting www.pbfa.org/index.html.
So for a chance of winning a £25 book voucher and/or tickets to the book fair, simply answer the question below, and send it to me, Vicky Goodall, Prizetime competition, South Lakes Citizen, 1 Wainwrights Yard, Kendal, LA9 4DP, or email it to vicky.goodall@kendal.newsquest.co.uk before 9am next Tuesday, June 12.
Employees of Newsquest (Kendal) and their families are not eligible to enter. There is no cash alternative to the prize. The editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners must agree to participate with any publicity connected with this promotion.
Question: How many dealer stalls will be showing at the fair this year?
