TWO schools and a parish council are among a host of green-thinking organisations to benefit from an initiative to create more breathing places in the region.
The Big Lottery Fund has handed nearly £10,000 each to Heversham Primary School, Carnforth High School, which has also applied for eco-school status, and Ravenstonedale Parish Council so they can develop green spaces for people and wildlife.
The BBC led Breathing Spaces programme is behind the environmentally-friendly funding.
