CROSS bay walkers are being sought to help raise money for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Queen's Guide Cedric Robinson MBE is to lead the event on Saturday, June 11, starting from Arnside shore at 10am and finishing at Kents Bank, near Grange-over-Sands.
The eight-mile walk will take around four hours, depending on tides. Entry is £10 and all Rosemere walkers will be given a free bag, snack and water. There will also be coaches to take walkers from Grange railway station car park to the start of the walk in Arnside, at a cost of £3.
For an entry form, call the charity on 01772-522913 or download a form at www.rosemere.org.uk. Early bookings are advised as the walk is always over-subscribed.
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation is dedicated to helping provide the very best care possible for cancer patients in south Cumbria and Lancashire, wherever they are treated.
The charity aims to raise £1 million this year for local cancer research, patient welfare projects, extra equipment and training that cannot be provided by the NHS. It supports projects in the cancer centre at Royal Preston Hospital as well as the cancer units at Kendal, Barrow and Lancaster.
