PEOPLE of all ages and backgrounds will be given the opportunity to experience life "down on the farm" as part of a special programme of events this month.
Eight farms in Cumbria will be opening their gates as part of a national programme of events to celebrate Open Farm Sunday on June 10.
The days aim to give people the opportunity to hear and see the positive steps farmers are taking to look after the fabric of the countryside and produce safe, wholesome and affordable food.
Open Farm Sunday is organised by conservation organisation, Linking Environment and Farming, and includes dozens of open days at farms throughout the country.
