A SOUTH Lakeland charity which gives advice and support to visually impaired people is embarking on two ventures which it believes will help it extend its services.
South Lakes Society for the Blind (SLSB) has purchased the rights to print visually impaired person (VIP) diaries and has also begun selling reconditioned computers from its base at Stricklandgate House, Kendal.
Volunteer Carl Hodge believes that both projects will help the charity continue to provide services in a climate where government grants are less readily available.
