A RANGE of cherished' Minis will be on display at an established South Lakeland dealership for a special approved event this weekend (Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3).

Visitors can view the range of pre-owned BMW Minis at Bateman BMW, in Lindale, which have all passed a thorough, detailed marque check to be allowed on to the forecourt.

Buyers also benefit from transferable five years or 50,000-mile TLC and TLC XL service packages purchased by 96 per cent of new Mini owners.

As well as looking at cherished' Minis, which come with a 12-month unlimited warranty, 12 months' emergency service cover, 12 months' MOT, independent mileage and history check and full service history, visitors can enter a competition to win a weekend break worth £300.

Mini Insurance is also offering 25 per cent discount on its policies.

Andy Hearn, Mini UK general manager, said: "The award-winning Mini Cherished scheme offers assurance to customers that they are buying a Mini in the best possible condition for their driving adventures.

"Minis excellent residual values mean owners also have the added confidence of making a good financial decision."

He added: "Six years after the car first went on sale and even with the arrival of the second generation Mini, a typical three-year-old Mini Cooper still holds a value of 73 per cent on the forecourt, up to 20 per cent more than an average competitor."

Sales of pre-owned Minis have been increasing in line with new car sales.

In the 12 months prior to April this year, sales were up by almost 25 per cent.
