A 40-YEAR-OLD man suffered head, leg and arm injuries after falling at Lower Scout Crag, Great Langadale.
Members of Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team assisted the man who had fallen while climbing, ripping out two safety wedges from the rock before reaching the ground.
Rescuers treated the man at the scene of the incident, which happened on Monday (May 28), with spinal immobilisation and pain relief before he was airlifted to West Cumberland hospital.
