A HANG glider was airlifted to the James Cook Hospital in Middlesborough over the weekend after crash landing near to Hawes, in North Yorkshire.
The incident, which occurred at 3pm on Saturday, May 26, was one of two involving hang gliders in the same area within the space of two hours.
Police and medics were on the scene within four minutes of receiving the call. But the man, who has not been named, was reported to have sustained serious injuries.
Emergency crews had already responded to an earlier crash landing by a hang glider in the area at 1.50pm. They arrived at the scene in nine minutes.
Sgt Ian Sirrell, of North Yorkshire Police, said the man suffered minor injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
