A GLITTERING array of vintage tractors and rusty implements will go on sale tomorrow (Saturday) in one of the highlights of the Hawes Auction Mart calendar.
The annual sale of vintage agricultural equipment has bagged a special item - a vintage Wolseley.
The car, a 1937 Super Six 18hp, with less than 50,000 miles on the clock, awaits a new lucky owner. Also lining up on the starting grid at the sale are a range of vintage tractors and vehicles.
The annual sale, which is held jointly between Hawes Auction Mart and George F. White, attracts a wide range of classic cars seeking homes that will take a shine to them.
Other entered items to date in this year's sale are echoes of more distant times - and the world of hard manual work - which include stone troughs, dairy equipment, a pig stool and an extensive range of vintage tractor parts.
Paul McGee, of the George F. White Bedale office, said: "A vintage sale does not just include old tractors and machinery - there are always lots that are just out of the ordinary or just useful enough to have survived. The old tractor seat is as attractive to collectors as the old tractor."
Viewing is on the morning of the sale. Anyone wanting more information should contact Paul McGee on 01677-425301.
