EUROPE'S largest equestrian touring theatre brings Spirit of the Horse - Chimera - to the Westmorland County Showground, Crooklands, from today (Friday) to Monday (May 28). CHURCHES Together in Sedbergh and District are performing a musical, Saints Alive, a retelling of Pentecost, at Sedbergh Methodist Church today and tomorrow (Sunday) at 3pm.

VISITORS to Sawrey can witness a legendary battle between good and evil when the Sawrey Cunsey and Graythwaite May Fair is held at Graythwaite Hall, Far Sawrey, at 4pm. The fair will feature the re-enactment of St George's battle to save a fair maiden from a dragon. The fair begins with a parade from Market Street, New Sawrey, to Braithwaite Hall at 2pm.
