A CHANCE to hear some fine creative writing over a beer is all set for Saturday, June 2 - although this time you'll have to bring your own alcohol.
Water Yeat Village Hall, Blawith, which is just off the A5084 to Coniston, does not have a bar but it will host the popular Poem and A Pint, where guest poet and former National Poetry Competition winner Caroline Carver will read some of her work. Open floor slots are available for budding poets.
Entry is £4 with concessions at £3. For more information visit http://apoemandapint.webhop.org
