Jane and Sam at the Hat Trick Cafe gave Mike Cosford (pictured with them outside Yew Tree Barn, Low Newton) a warm welcome and hot breakfast , complete with Cumberland Sausage, yesterday to remind him of the Cumbrian part of his three week journey around the coast of Britain.
Mike, Roger and Steve (all from East Anglia) started their fundraising journey, for a children's Hospice, East Anglian Children's Hospice in Felixstowe, almost two weeks ago, and Cumbria was about their halfway stage.
They called their trip "The Wrong Way Round" after seeing Ewan McGregor's epic journey "The Long Way Round".
Mike said, "We'd heard of the Hat Trick Cafe and it was such a brilliant place to call in. That breakfast will probably see us all through to our evening stop! Jane & Sam also gave us a voucher to auction off at the Charity Party when we get home and we're going to send one of our Wrong Way Round caps to add to their collection!"
