A PLAN to bring six Church of England parishes together has prompted a project to help the communities and their youngsters identify a sense of place.
The venture was developed because of a proposal for the six parishes in the Beacon Group - St George's Kendal, Grayrigg, Skelsmergh, Selside, Longsleddale and Burneside - to come together as a team ministry.
The churches and communities have already taken part in some joint activities and the latest scheme, called A Sense of Place, was developed.
The project has just been boosted by a £4,400 Awards for All lottery grant.
