A MEETING with some of Italy's most powerful politicians is on the menu for a team of young chefs as they prepare to jet out to Rome on a fact-finding foray into the world of fine food.
Ten culinary wizards from Kendal College will silver-serve the Italian Senate next Tuesday and Wednesday as they join the parliament's kitchens to learn about hospitality on the Med.
The trip has been organised and funded by the Bob Mcghie Award Trust, which was set up in memory of the college's first Head of Catering to help motivate students and provide a hands-on insight into foreign cuisine.
