VISITORS to Sawrey can witness a legendary battle between good and evil when the Sawrey Cunsey and Greythwaite May Fair takes place at Braithwaite Hall, Far Sawrey, on May 27 at 4pm. The fair features a variety of entertainment and attractions including stalls, arts and crafts, maypole dancing and a dramatic re-enactment of St George's courageous battle to save a fair maiden from a dastardly dragon. The fair begins with a parade from Market Street, Near Sawrey at 2pm to Braithwaite Hall.
