One of the greatest aspects of this glorious festival so far has been the chance to discover some lesser-known acts.
Alongside the more familiar names in the packed programme was hotly-tipped and aptly-named Emmy The Great, who lived up to her moniker on Tuesday.
London-based Emmy, with a voice as clear as spring water and reminiscent of Suzanne Vega, delivered witty folk-tinged tales of love lost and experience gained.
Marissa Nadler followed Emmy, and the New Yorker's ethereal music filled every corner of the Malt Room, bringing to mind Angelo Badalamenti's haunting soundtrack to the cult TV series Twin Peaks.
Using echo and reverb on her voice to mind-boggling effect, Nadler's floating ballads created a landscape all of their own. Heartbreak never sounded so appealing.
