KAREN Matheson last appeared at the Brewery about a year ago, but such is the pulling power of her hauntingly lovely voice that the Malt Room was packed for yet another dose of this remarkable Scottish singer.
Actor Sean Connery has described her as having "a throat surely touched by the hand of God" and her set showed why she is still at the forefront of the Celtic music scene.
With her band of talented musicians, she switched from Gaelic mouth music to bluesy Moonshine and traditional Scottish ballads with the ease and confidence of a singer whose vocal prowess has stunned audiences around the world.
