MIDFIELD enforcer Craig Stanley wants Morecambe to win the play-off final at Wembley for stricken goalkeeper Steven Drench.
Stanley, the England Game XI skipper, won the Conference play-offs last season while a Hereford United player.
And he is ready for a repeat when the Shrimps face Exeter City beneath the Wembley arch on Sunday week.
"It's a one-off game and we go there confident," says Stanley.
"We can enjoy the game and it will be a fantastic experience to play at Wembley but we want to win when we are there."
Stanley feels for keeper Drench, who suffered a dislocated elbow as the Shrimps conceded a penalty in Monday's semi-final.
Drench collided with York striker Clayton Donaldson and will miss the final and Stanley says: "It is a real shame for Drenchy and perhaps I should have cut the ball out before it got through.
"Now we have to try and win it for him."
