JOHN McGuinness warmed up for his road racing season with an excellent fifth place as the British Supersport Championship roared into Oulton Park.
The Heysham hero did well to take his championship total to 31 points - and his Pagdetts Honda bike is in good order ahead of the North West 200 series and Isle of Man TT.
His team-mate Dennis Hobbs took a well earned race win after claiming the lead off the current Championship leader Michael Laverty on lap six and never being headed.
Ian Lowry on the Relentless Suzuki finished in second and Laverty came home in third.
