Kendal town centre was filled with the sound of whirring wheels as dozens of cyclists gathered for a celebration of pedal power.
Around 25 volunteer rangers with sustainable travel group Sustrans joined forces for a bike ride around the town and an afternoon training event. The rangers give up their own free time to help maintain the South Lakeland stretch of the National Cycle Network on behalf of the charity.
