A FORMER relief foster carer has backed The Westmorland Gazette’s campaign to keep Kendal’s court open, saying it is a ‘vital’ service for teenagers and young adults.
The Kendal woman, who asked not to be named, said: “I saw for myself how vitally important Kendal Magistrates Court, Youth Court and County Court are in this area.
“I am very worried for the future of our young adults if the proposed plans to close the town’s courts go ahead.
“I thoroughly support the Gazette’s campaign to ‘Keep Justice Local’.”
