MORECAMBE chairman Peter McGuigan paid handsome tribute to the fans as a red army sang their hearts out as the Shrimps booked their spot in the play-offs.
Hundreds of supporters made the trip to Aggborough to see the Shrimps and McGuigan smiles: "The fans were amazing as they have been all season.
"They nearly lifted the roof off the away end and they have every reason to be delighted."
The chairman is delighted with the play-off achievement and adds: "To reach the play-offs is a wonderful achievement on its own.
"People shouldn't take the play-offs for granted - when you look at the ex-league teams who are around us you realise what an achievement it is."
