Morecambe can seal a place in the Conference play-offs at Kidderminster on Saturday - and boss Sammy McIlroy is demanding a massive improvement after last week's no show at Weymouth.
The Shrimps slumped 2-1 on the Dorset coast and McIlroy says: "We will be better at Kidderminster - we will have to be." The Shrimps have only won once at Aggborough - and that was back in 1997, while last season a Gareth Sheldon strike on the stroke of half-time condemned Morecambe to a single goal loss. "It will not be easy down there," adds McIlroy. "But we need to get back to playing the way we can and make the play-offs."We need to show our true colours and spirit - and if we do we will be okay," Meanwhile, winger Garry Thompson is backing the Shrimps to bounce back and says: "A lot of fans went to Weymouth last week and we didn't perform.
"It was a setback and a disappointment - but I would mush rather have the disappointment now than in the play-offs like last year."
Wayne Curtis (foot) may recover in time to play, while McIlroy is also checking the fitness of Garry Hunter. A win against the FA trophy finalists will guarantee Morecambe's place in the top five.Saturday fixtures
