WIDE boy Garry Thompson insists Morecambe will bounce back from their Weymouth disaster and reckons a play-off spot can be booked this weekend at Kidderminster.
Thompson says Saturday's 2-1 loss hurt - but it can only help to inspire the Shrimps to do better.
"We didn't play well and the gaffer let us know as much. A lot of fans went down there and we didn't perform - but that can happen and we look to the next game," he says.
"We will make the play-offs and it would be good to get there on Saturday."
The Shrimps were well below par at the Wessex Stadium and Thompson adds: "We didn't play the way we can - but I still think we could have won the game.
"David McNiven hit the post and a couple of decisions went against us but that is the disappointment of football.
"And to be honest I would much rather have the disappointment now than in the play-offs.
"The Conference has been a funny league this year, a real roller coaster with teams beating teams you would never expect.
"There will be more twists and turns before the season finishes but I can't see us not making the play-offs.
"That's where we should be and that's where we will finish up. There is no way that we are going to let things slip and we will put last weekend right on Saturday."
