BARROW battler Wayne Curtis faces a race to be fit for Morecambe's crunch Conference clash at Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday - although he received good news from an X-Ray.
Curtis hobbled out of Saturday's shock loss at Weymouth with a foot injury, suffered when he kicked Simon Wetherstone's studs.
There were initial fears that Curtis may have broken a bone - but Morecambe physio Dave Edge confirms: "Wayne had an X-ray on Sunday and there is nothing broken.
"That is a bonus, although he is sore at the moment.
"We will see how he is during the week in training."
Boss Sammy McIlroy adds: "The last thing we need is more injuries."
