KIND-hearted pupils clubbed together to raise money for a region struck by a terrible natural disaster.
Children at Langdale Cof E Primary School learnt about the Nepal earthquake and decided to take action.
Meri Price, a Year 3 pupil at the school, suggested that pupils, staff and parents should try a novel way of raising money to help improve the lives of earthquake survivors.
Children then organised a 'wear what you like' fundraising day.
Local businesses such as the Langdale Co-op, The Maple Tree Cafe, Fell Foot Farm and Wheelwrights's Holiday Cottages also took part to help raise even more cash.
Collection tins were put outside Tarn Hows, a popular tourist site, and some children even put posters up outside their own houses to maximise awareness of their cause.
In total, nearly £500 has been raised, but the school is still accepting funding because they are taking part in Sir Chris Bonington and Doug Scott's Community Action Nepal scheme.
On Friday, June 12, there is an 'expedition' to scale the equivalent of Mount Everest, which is 8,848 metres high, on the ice wall at the King Kong Climbing Centre in Keswick - with 240 members of the public joining in.
