A determined and fired up Carnforth side lifted the Andrew Crowe Memorial Shield for the first time in 12-years as they beat Vale A 17-5.
Vale opened the scoring with a try from Ben Townson but with nine minutes of the half remaining hooker Matt Williams collected a try converted by Jason Barton.
Early in the second half Dave Hones hacked the ball through and won the race, the winger's try being converted. A penalty goal from Barton ensured that Carnforth secured a historic victory.
