Her Majesty the Queen has visited Lancaster today as part of her role as the Duke of Lancaster.
Hundreds of people lined the streets for the monarch's visit, which was to commemorate 750 years of the castle belonging to the Duchy of Lancaster.
It was the first time she had visited the city for 16 years.
The Queen arrived just after 10am and visited Lancaster Castle where she had a tour and watched a performance of Shakespeare.

One of the lucky few invited to a reception at the castle for Her Majesty’s visit was the co-ordinator of Lancaster Music Festival, Benjamin Ruth.
The Queen went on to have lunch at Myerscough College in Billsborrow.
