SAMMY McIlroy will give a late fitness test to Michael Howard ahead of Morecambe's crunch Conference clash with Woking at Christie Park on Saturday.
Howard has missed the last two games with a hip injury but could return against the Cards, who sacked their manager Glenn Cockerill on Thursday.
Garry Thompson (sore throat) should be fit for the game, which is Morecambe's ninth of a mad month of March.
"It's been a crazy, mad schedule," says manager McIlroy. "And there is no let up.
"This is a big game for us and we are looking to win to stay in the play-offs.
"There are no easy matches and they will come here and make it difficult but it is about how we play. I am not bothered about the other teams."
McIlroy will have to decide whether to recall David McNiven to the starting line-up or stick with Danny Carlton, who looked sharp in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Northwich Victoria.
