ASPIRING writers are battling it out for the chance to win an iPad mini.
Around 100 Kendal College students have submitted an article on their favourite vocational topic to be judged by Gazette reporter Patrick Christys.
The competition is the highlight of the college's English Language Week and the winner is set to be announced next week.
A concise writing style, good grammar and interesting images are some of the characteristics that will gain top marks.
The top prize is a state of the art iPad mini, but students can also win a £40 Amazon gift card.
See the May 7 edition of The Westmorland Gazette for the results.
