Vale of Lune crashed to their heaviest defeat in three years as Waterloo set the sun on their Lancashire Cup hopes.
The Powder House pain was clear - as it was in the 2004/05 season when, coincidentally, Vale crashed heavily to the same opposition in the Lancashire Cup.
The National Division One side, despite being bottom of the table, contained too many big guns for a gallant Vale squad. The visitors ran in twelve tries, nine of which were converted.
Vale trailed 45-3 at half time, their points coming from an Andy Garrett penalty goal. Alistair Richards raced away for a second half try converted by Andy Miller.
A number of Vale players picked up injuries against Waterloo, hopefully they will be fit and ready for action before the final home league game of the season against Broughton Park who will be hoping to secure a second place play off slot. Kick off at The Lane is 3pm.
Vale of Lune: A Miller; A Richards, J Bryan, A Garnett (M Mudd 49), J Curran; N Bennetts, A Bolsover; P Jackson (G Barton74), D Schuyler, A Cowey (D Halliwell 15); L Farnworth D Perry (A Whittaker 64), D Lin, J Knox, M Fowler.
* Vale A lost at Kendal 10-5 in a bottom of the table encounter. The B team also returned defeated after they went down 27-17 at BAE Warton.
