WESTMORLAND and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron is gearing up to take part in his fund raising triathlon over the weekend.
Mr Farron will be setting out from Grizedale Tarn on Saturday morning to begin his triathlon, which will take him from the most northerly point of the constituency to Humphrey Head, the most southerly point.
He will stop off at Waterhead where he will join a sailing boat to take him down Windermere Lake and will meet a group of cyclists at Fell Foot where he will take to his bike and ride to Humphrey Head.
Mr Farron will be accompanied by a range of constituents on each stage of the triathlon "I'm really looking forward to the day as it's a great chance to see large parts of the constituency and really appreciate the beauty of where we live and work, as well as raising money for New Holehird," said Mr Farron.
New Holehird at Windermere is home to a group of severely disabled people. A project is looking to raise £1.5million to secure the future of the home.
