A FURNESS restaurant owner made an eggs-tremely rare but timely find while preparing meringues.
With Easter fast approaching, Emma Carrick, of the Hot Mango café, in King Street, Ulverston, was a little shell shocked to find a perfectly formed egg within one that she had just cracked open.
"It is the most egg-citing egg I have ever seen in all my time," she joked. "We get a lot of double yolkers', but I have never ever seen anything like this before.
"We spent most of the morning in the café coming up with egg related puns afterwards. We launched our new spring menu on the same day, so it felt like a good omen, and a happy coincidence. It's a nice thing to happen in the run up to Easter."
