THE curriculum at a Kendal secondary school has been described as outstanding by Ofsted inspectors who added it provides very good value for money.
The sixth form at Kirkbie Kendal School was particularly praised by the government-appointed inspection team who gave a standard 48 hours notice before arriving on site.
The report, out this week, rated the Lound Road school as good and said good teaching and a particularly well thought-out curriculum had led to standards that had risen steadily over the past few years.
It added the school, which has specialist college status for business and enterprise, had been well cultivated to establish an outstanding range of business and community links.
