INDIA'S A-Listers could be swapping Bollywood for Bowness if a Lake District delegate gets his way.
Cumbria film officer Alan Saywell (inset) is jetting out to the Asian equivalent of Hollywood next week to persuade Indian filmmakers to set their sights, and films, on Cumbrian soil.
The 34-year-old will spend the week mixing with stars such as Shilpa Shetty, the winner of this year's Celebrity Big Brother, in Frames - the location of the massive Mumbai Trade Festival.
Mr Saywell, who works for the film and TV development agency North West Vision, said he would be spreading the word about South Lakeland's spectacular scenery among Bollywood's equivalent to Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts.
