A SOUTH Lakeland car dealership has invested nearly three quarters of a million in a new venture that has created five new jobs.
Volkswagen and Audi dealer Hadwins of Lindale has opened a car sales room on the site of the former Helsington garage, on the southern outskirts of Kendal.
The high-profile shop window' site, which will operate as a Hadwins Approved used car sales centre, can accommodate up to 60 used cars and features a light and airy sales office manned by a team of five.
Head of business Paul Crewdson said Hadwins Audi was attracting an increasing number of quality used cars, which had created capacity problems at the Lindale site.
Extra lifts were being added to workshops at both the firm's sites in Lindale, enabling the company to handle the growth.
