JUST weeks after an office chair was set alight and left to burn on Kendal parkland another piece of furniture has been found drowned in the River Kent.
The tale of the torched chair caused a public outcry, which reverberated around the world, but it is not known if this latest episode was malicious or just an accident.
The seat, which on inspection looks like a deck chair, was seen in the river, near Miller Bridge, Kendal. The chair was spotted by passers-by on a lunchtime stroll who witnessed the metal structure being engulfed by fast-flowing water.
Editor/Publisher of The Westmorland Gazette Mike Glover said: "It certainly looks like someone has got it in for chairs in Kendal."
