MORECAMBE came back from two goals down to earn a share of the spoils with Rushden & Diamonds at Nene Park on Tuesday night.
The home side opened the scoring after half an hour when Michael Rankine headed a Danny Williams cross beyond Steven Drench from the centre of the penalty area and looked to be in control after a second headed goal in the 66th minute by Marcus Kelly.
But Sammy McIlroy's Shrimps are nothing if not resilient and were given a boost as Chris Hope scored an own goal eight minutes later.
Rushden were forced onto the back foot as they tried to hang on to the slender lead - but it quickly evaporated when Wayne Curtis slammed home a left-footed shot two minutes later to level the scores at 2-2.
