POLICE believe the gang, which included an eight-year-old boy, who allegedly stole from jewellery from an Ulverston shop may have been responsible for similar offences in the county.
On Wednesday, police say £3,500 worth of gold rings and bracelets was taken from Isis in Ulverston, On the same day, the group are known to have entered other shops and banks in Ulverston as well as in Morecambe, Grange, Seascale, Whitehaven and Workington.
The young boy was last seen wearing a distinctive woolly hat with a peak and a black jacket with red piping. The four men have all been described as being aged between 30 and 45, having dark hair, wearing black leather jackets and tracksuit bottoms. One of the men is slightly older with a receding hairline.
