THE drive for more renewable energy projects will step up a gear when a one-day seminar is held next week to help bring new initiatives on stream.
The British Hydropower Association (BHA) is organising a series of regional briefings for stakeholders, including developers, land-owners, community groups and local authorities.
A seminar is being held at the Hawkshead Brewery in Staveley on March 8.
The BHA believes Cumbria is overflowing with opportunities for small-scale hydropower, and is hoping to generate fresh interest and ideas.
