AMBLESIDE and District University of the Third Age welcomes Brian Martland, who will give an illustrated talk on A Thousand Hills to Santiago, at the Marchesi Centre, Windermere, at 2.30pm.
THE Homes of Football, at Ambleside, will be showcasing the work of Stuart Clarke throughout the year. Running until February 25 will be Auld Lang v Syne: Dumfrieshire derby; Ava our daughter turns one for the first time; and St Maria's Walk: Burning Ground. Tel 015394-34440.
RISE & Shine: New Jewellery, covers a diverse range of work from 15 current makers, selected with the assistance of Dorothy Hogg, head of department at Edinburgh College of Art. This selling exhibition, at Blackwell The Arts and Crafts House, in Bowness, runs until April 22. Tel 015394-46139.
