AN accomplished student and sportswoman has scooped an award for outstanding success in business studies.
Former Kirkbie Kendal School head girl Heather Ramsay was presented with a glass trophy and £20 book token by Karl Burrell, managing director of accounting firm Lamont Pridmore.
The Business Studies Student of the Year Award was given to Heather during a special assembly at Kendal Leisure Centre.
She was chosen for the award for 'working at a consistently high level' in her A-level studies, and also for being a role model to other students for her leadership skills and confidence.
Outside the classroom, Heather has swum for Kendal, played netball and athletics for her school and also football for Kendal Ladies.
She is taking a gap year before going on to study law at Northumbria University.
Mr Burrell said: "As a firm, we believe it is important to encourage and support the outstanding students of today, who could well go on to become the business leaders of tomorrow."
He added: "On behalf of the firm, I would like to congratulate Heather on her achievements and wish her all the very best in her future studies and career path.”
