EVERYONE was in celabratory mood on a record-breaking results day in Ulverston.
Ulverston Victoria High School posted its best ever set of exam results, with 33.4 per cent of pupils scoringA*-A grades and 99 per cent passing everything.
Roger Cahalin, assistant head teacher, said: “We are delighted with the results. The vast majority got on to the course they wanted.
“The results have exceeded our expect-ations and that’s testament to the hard work of the teaching staff and our students who have shown incredible determination to make their grades. As a school we are going from strength to strength.”
The stand-out performer was Eloise Abbott, Head Girl, who got two A*’s and three A’s and is now off to study PPE at Oxford.
